Badenoch & Strathspey Ramblers
Our area includes the Monadh Liath and the high tops of the Cairngorms, the birch and pine woodlands of the Spey Valley from Laggan to beyond Grantown on Spey, beautiful Glen Feshie, and much more besides.
With such a wide variety of landscape and terrain on our doorstep, offering an almost endless choice of walks from short low level riverside strolls to long high level mountain days, we do not usually need to travel long distances or hire buses (though we do share cars to minimise pollution). However we do share some walks with the Inverness and Lochaber & Lorn groups and these are based as far as possible in an area reasonably accessible for all 3 groups.
We walk every other weekend, usually on a Saturday, and a typical programme will offer a walk to suit most levels of fitness, experience and enthusiasm. Click here to see our current walks programme.
If you are interested in joining us on a walk, please refer to the Walk Notes which give a full explanation of our grading system.
